In 2005, co-founder of the Detroit based artist organization named The MATI Group/Fuzzy Tripod Art.
Detroit is the city that I call home, where I was born and grew up. Through my art, I want to show that Detroit is more than just a city of abandoned buildings and decay, and is truly a city full of life and beauty. Detroit has shaped every aspect of my life, and I share that through my photographs. This is my home through my eyes. Through my lens I express the feeling of love for my home and the wonders that I encounter along the way.
I feel that the most important qualities of my photographs are their honesty and the emotional response they incite. I aim to communicate to the viewer the love and passion I have for Detroit; that a photograph is more than just a picture, but it is a brief moment caught in time; that the image itself is a living breathing entity. Through my urban landscape photography I find the calm and beauty within a chaotic urban atmosphere, waiting patiently for hours in all types of weather to capture that one perfect moment.
